Kids Camp 2014 has officially begun! Already we’ve been having so much fun! We stopped at the day use picnic area at Lake Mendocino to eat our bag lunches and I have never seen kids eat lunch so fast! I think they were really excited to get to camp! As soon as we arrived at Hartstone Bible Camp, we unloaded the vans. Right after that, we headed down to the river to let each cabin select a rock. Our camp theme is all about rocks if you hadn’t noticed. Then each cabin got to decorate their rock. Next we did a group challenge where they had to run around the field and count how many pinecones were on a haystack, how many logs were on another haystack, how many rocks were in a certain area, and twigs in another area. Then they had to walk across a balance beam to report their numbers. Team Brimstone (Doug’s cabin) came in first place! After our game we had free time until dinner. Kids could choose to swing, play gutter ball, Frisbee, or lots of other choices. Pictures are downloading. I hope to post again soon with pictures from our day!
