When we got back from the river we had free time followed by
a dinner of BBQ chicken, twice-baked potatoes, salad, and biscuits. Then we got together for our final large
group teaching time where we had worship time and Paul summarized what we’ve
been discussing all week. After our
teaching each cabin had time together for discussion as a small group.
We had a little bit of evening free time before having s’mores
around the campfire and then finally, when it was dark, the game the kids have
been waiting for all week. We call it
Gestapo or Gazpacho or Gustavo. Anything
that sounds similar to that will work. The
kids have to get to a certain place (the yurt) without being spotted. There are a lot of obstacles in their way
such as squirt guns, water balloons, and air horns. If they make it to the stairs of the yurt,
they get a prize. Everyone was a really
good sport and it took many tries for the kids to make it.
