Last post for Kids Camp 2013
Thanks so much for following us! The kids will be singing the songs they learned at camp on Sunday morning during worship. Please have your kids at the church at 8:30 in their clean camp shirt. If you are able to stay for the worship portion for the second service, that would be great. They should be done by 11:35 and can leave then.
Day 4 - Friday
Today, we packed up, ate breakfast (French Toast), had a brief review at chapel time, and cleaned up the camp before heading home. Here are some shots of each cabin today.
Day 3 Evening (Thursday)
We got to make s'mores around the campfire while we waited for our evening game to start. The object of our evening game was for the kids to go up to the top of the hill to rescue Lot (Abraham's nephew, made out of pool noodles). If a kid was able to get to Lot and bring him back to the campfire, without being spotted, they got a prize. The challenge was, there were lots of spot lights, water balloons and air horns to prevent them from getting there.
After the game, some of the kids had a chance to look at the stars (which were many) and find the Big Dipper, the Milky Way, and look through a telescope at the North Star.

Day 3 - Afternoon. River time!
Here are some pictures from the river today. There was lots to do- swimming, tubing, playing in the sand, catching crawdads/crawfish, water fights, and making lanyards, which we call boondoggle.

Day 2 Evening
Finally! Blue sky!! The weather has cleared up and it's supposted to be 99 degrees tomorrow!
Here are some pictures of all the cabins doing their cabin cheers before our evening session.
Then we had a time of worship before Pastor Zach did a teaching.
Tonight after our worship, teaching, and small group time, we got to play Counselor Hide and Seek which is when the counselors hide and the kids try to find them. For the first time ever at Kids Camp, not one counselor was found. We also enjoyed a campfire tonight.
